...then I have to leave for work.
Daylight (YAWN) Savings Time
This time change is kicking my butt! Spring is way worse than Fall. I've been sitting here trying to get a few things done at the computer this morning (such as pay a few bills, etc.) and I keep nodding off! The problem is, I go to bed later because 10pm feels like 9pm and then I get up at 4am when I used to get up at 3am for a pit stop in my nightly race to get some sleep. I would have about an hour and a half to sleep when I laid back down at 3:05am. Now I may as well just get up because it's too late to get back to sleep.
Another thing about it that I don't like...I'm back to going to work in the dark again. I was getting nice and light before I left for work before the change. Now it's pitch black out there again.
One perk tho, at least while driving my bus I get to see the sunrise. That always makes me smile!
Sometimes I wish they would just keep us on daylight savings time all year round. Or not have it at all.
Trippin'
My trip to Jamaica is coming down to the wire. I'm all packed but have been mulling it over in my mind and have decided to try to eliminate one suitcase, my carry-on, in favor of a backpack with an extra set of clothes and swimsuit in it (in case ...GASP!!!...my big suitcases get lost somehow). I've been sort of trippin' about this all but decided that if I forget something I'll either live without it, borrow it or buy it there. My motto for the year, this year..."Think outside the suitcase!" Er, I mean BOX! This trip is going to be mahhhhvelous! We have lots of beach days planned and swimming, snorkeling, sunning and sipping.
We leave Friday.
Irie***!!

Oh Gin, I know you're excited! Heck, I'M excited and I'm not even going! LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd I hear ya about the adjustment to DST. Whew. It's kicking my tail too! :D
XO
Your idea about simplifying and carrying a few things in a back pack is a good one. I always carry a few necessities in my carry-on 'just in case'.
ReplyDeleteThe time change bothers me/us as well. Just can't get used to it. But seeing the sunrise must be wonderful!!!
Ha! I always wondered what that meant since Brad Pitt said it in Meet Joe Black!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fantastic time!!! Eat lots of that yummy jerk chicken for me! Scrum.
I can't wait to hear all about your trip and hopefully see lots of pictures when you get back. :)
