I joined Facebook a year or so ago to reconnect with some of my high school classmates. In that year, I've managed to find a lot of old friends and it's been fun!
I got into a few other Facebook things in this past year...GAMES!!
I'm not much of a TV watcher, but I can waste time with the best of them when it comes to computer games I like!
YoVille is probably my favorite. I have always loved doll houses and YoVille is like having a bunch of virtual doll houses! Your little Yo-person has to go to work, earn money and shop for things and then decorate. It's fun and can be interactive too. A lot of my old high school buds are my YoVille neighbors!! Who would have ever dreamed that when we graduated and said goodbye that we'd reconnect 40+ years later over some silly games?
A lot of my co-workers play them with me too!
Farmville is another one I like. On this one you plant crops, tend animals and move things around on your farm until you get them where you want them. More decorating!
I have tried and don't like: Petville, Fishville, Mafia Wars, My Town, and quite a few others.
I know I waste too much time on these games but they are a great stress-reducer and that's something I really need...more days than not. They aren't quite as portable as my Nintendo DS, and I haven't figured out how to play them on my iPhone yet, but that's probably just as well. I do need to step back into reality ONCE in a while!!!
But, hey...if you play YoVille or Farmville on Facebook, let me know...we can hook up and be neighbors.
I'm starting to think that I'm the only one NOT playing Farmville!
ReplyDeleteNo, you're not, I don't either! ROFL
ReplyDeleteBut the reason is that I waste time doing so much else that I can't afford another one!
Have fun, Gin!
XO
Gin, you crack me up. I'm probably the second person (beside Lose That Girl) that doesn't play Farmville. I do love Scramble, though ;-)
ReplyDeleteI was such a Farmville addict back when. There's just something about it that has you coming back and back. Then I stopped. Then my daughter got me set up on MyFarm and I was addicted all over again. Finally I stopped that. So, no games for me.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite iPhone games are:
Labyrinth
FallDown!
Flood-It2
Trace
Doodle Jump
Color Shake
How about you?
Oh yeah! I love Scrabble...my sister and I play it whenever we can! We rock at it! Our goal isn't necessarily to see who wins but how high a score we can get total!
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of a gameaholic! I love all sorts of games. I figure anything that can help stave off Alzheimer's is a good thing for me, being that Dad is suffering with that awful disorder!
Cheryl, I do have the iPhone Kindle app. I love it and use it all the time when I am on the school bus waiting for kids or waiting to drop the kids off. I love it because I can sync my Kindle to the iPhone and vice versa. It's great because then I don't have to search for the last place I stopped reading when going from one device to the other.
I also have a ton of apps on my iPhone that are games. I play them quite often too. I play cribbage, sudoku, Chicktionary, and a few others.
I know I shouldn't waste so much time playing games, but I justify it by the fact that I'm not much into TV!
Thanks for your comments, everyone! :))
