Checking the school cancellations list this morning...

...but my districts aren't on it! Rats!!!

It's still 35 degrees here today but the forecast says it's going to be really nasty before school gets out. Don't forecasts count for anything? Our district is very slow to cancel school. I don't know why because they have no problem making up snow days in June.

It's raining right now and there are huge puddles out there that will be huge ice patches by 11am. Huge ice patches that are covered with snow.

Pray for us!

Boston Legal, final show

I was a bit sad to lose a show I've watched rabidly for 3 years. It had a decidedly odd twist at the end. Denny Crane and Alan Shore got married. They weren't gay but they loved each other. Denny's Alzheimer's was getting worse and the law firm was bought out by Chinese businessmen. So Alan said he was going to open a law firm that catered to poor people and offered free legal services (spin off?). Denny said that Alan would need financial backing and if they married, Alan would get all of Denny's money. Alan could also take care of Denny in his dotage as the Alzheimer's progressed.

I'm sad that it's over. It was actually a very entertaining show.

A lot of other shows will be done soon, or have just gotten done for the season. Amazing Race finished up Sunday, Survivor will be over this coming Sunday. Biggest Loser will be done soon. I'm still waiting for Medium to begin...maybe in January? The Bachelor will begin a new season soon.

Maybe I'll just go back to reading instead of watching TV!

  1. Man, I hope your school got cancelled. Looking at the radar, you should be getting POUNDED right now. We had ours last night. It's mostly passed us right now. *sigh*

  2. It's still raining here. I hope they don't wait till the roads are dangerous to send those kids home.

  3. We suffered through a slow-to-cancel school district, until they lost a law suit filed by a teacher who had a horrible accident (her car slid under a semi) for depraved negligence. They're a little more careful now.

  4. I watched Boston Legal years ago and loved it. Maybe I'll watch the series on DVD sometime. I hate when favorite shows get canceled.
