Well, Thursday was a very slow act of kindness day. There were not many opportunities that presented themselves. I got a book wrapped to mail to an online friend who is so busy she doesn't have much extra time to look for books, so I'm sending her mine. I know she'll love it and happily give it to her. That's about as far as I got doing good deeds yesterday.
We even went to Walmart and look as I might for someone for whom to hold the door open ...there was no one. I looked all around as we were checking out to see if anyone had fewer items than we did so I could let them go in line in front of us...there was no one. So as we left, I was extremely kind to the greeter...she probably thought I was out to steal her job, I was so friendly and warm!!
I had a couple more traffic related little things but nothing much.
This random act of kindness thing isn't as easy as it looks. Maybe that's why it's called "Random"...you have to just let the chances come to you.
Well, I'm here waiting, fate...bring 'em on!! Maybe today will be better.
There ya go..."bring em on!"
ReplyDeleteGreat attitude, but I expect nothing less from you, Ginnigirl!
XOXO
The funny thing is - I have noticed that people are going out of their way to be kind to ME this week. I think it's so funny how it boomerangs. Yeah, yesterday the best I could work up is that I made myself spend a few minutes speaking pleasantly to a coworker that I don't really care for. Usually I just smile and nod and walk on, but yesterday we had two nice though not lengthy actual conversations.
ReplyDeleteIf worse comes to worse you could always go out and stalk somebody and force kindness on them. It would be a kind of comedic act of kindness for us if you had Andy take pics and post them.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's sort of the thing, I think. It's best if it's just a mindset of doing kind things when the opportunity presents instead of trying to make them happen.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure what I was going to say here, and was awarded with Brad's funny comment. Ha!
ReplyDeleteYou're a very good person Ms. Ginnie.
