Fifty things I'm thankful for...
1.) My wonderful, thoughtful, caring, kind, helpful man. We've been together just over 7 years.
2.) My family ... 3 sisters, 1 brother, and all their kids and significant others ... my Dad. He's 84 years old, has Alzheimer's but is still going strong and not doing too badly.
3.) Down time.
4.) Rosie, my good little dog. She's such a joy and a great little companion.

5.) My internet friends who are as close as family.
6.) A job that I love and hours that are great.
7.) Faith in God.

8.) Chickens and eggs.

9.) TV shows like Ghost Hunters, Boston Legal and anything from the Food Channel.
10.) Laughter
11.) Great workmates.
12.) The gifts of art, poetry, writing, and humbly, any other talent I may possess.
13.) Summers off.
14.) Special needs kids.
15.) Books...good ones.
16.) Books on CD.
17.) My iPhone. Don't know what I ever did without it!
18.) Having had a great life in another time and place ... the memories of that life.
19.) Getting to make peace with my son before I lost him.
20.) Email...most of it!
22.) Blogging...most of the time!
23.) Fellow bloggers who I've come to know.
24.) My comfortable home that's paid off.
25.) Having enough.
26.) Freedom.
27.) Our Armed Forces.
28.) Having an adventurous spirit when it comes to cooking, trying new things, and hobbies.

29.) My hobbies. I have a million of 'em.
30.) Having a cabin on a beautiful lake that we can go to anytime we want.

31.) Old friends, new friends and surprising friends that we never dreamed we'd have a good relationship with.
32.) Dumpsters.
33.) Kettlecorn.
34.) Roses, daylilies, lilies, hydrangeas, hostas, wild birds, blue skies and all the things that make a garden beautiful.
35.) Raised bed veggie gardens, good compost and green stuff.


36.) My yard.
37.) My cameras and so many good photo opportunities.
38.) Almonds, cashews, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans...and that they're good for you.
39.) Bacon...and that it isn't so good for you (or I'd be eating it all the time)

40.) Social Security. I get my first check in a month. (Widow's bennies)
41.) My treadmill and that I've been on it everyday since July 1st (except when I walked somewhere else)
42.) Water... cold, fresh, clean, clear. Both for drinking and for swimming.
43.) Sailboats.
44.) Diet Pepsi with Lime...lots and lots of lime! Even if I have to add it myself.
45.) Living on a bluff overlooking the Mighty Mississippi...in other words being close to the river but not having to worry about flooding.
46.) French pottery...the old stuff.
47.) My computers.
48.) A reliable car that needs some TLC once in a while but that's paid off.
49.) The seasons.
50.) Draft autosave.

I love your list Ginni. Was it hard for you to come up with 50? It flows like it was effortless.
