  3. They're all beautiful, but I like Mrs. N. Thompson best. Are they hard to grow? I've heard they're finicky?

  4. I'm so glad you ladies share my love of the vine divine!

Jackie and Dawn, I just love my Belle of Woking. I always think of a Southern Belle trying to figure out how to use a wok! LOL

Fiwa, clems are really easy to grow, I'm doing it, aren't I? LOL Mrs.NT isn't a tall clem, but is pretty hardy and not a diva at all. If you see one when you're out plant shopping, you should get it and give it a try...they're all pretty easy from my experience. I do recommend you get them locally tho, the ones I've gotten from online/catalog vendors aren't usually very good grades of plants.

  6. I say clemertis.

Lovely pics. Don't think clematis is going to grow here - salty and windy doesn't seem like a good combination.

  7. Thanks Cary! I love the violet ones too!

Malc, what can you grow in your climate? Does Mrs TPF grow any flowers? I bet you can grow some dandy hay for your critters!

  8. Very lovely clems, Ginni! I'm anxious to see what will revive this spring. I have Etoile Violette, too, and am loving this hardy beauty.

  9. We don't have clematis here so I always enjoy seeing my son's vines when I visit in Denver. They are a fence full of the purple ones. Happy belated GTS,
    Aiyana
