I've decided I have an obsessive-compulsive personality!

If I get into something, I usually do it in a way that is totally obsessive-compulsive! When I got into roses, I was going to have 6...then since 9 fit in my first rose bed, I changed to wanting 9 roses. Then I looked around and had plenty of room for more, so now jump forward 6 rose-seasons and I'm sitting here with over 150 roses. I've got as many rose books! I also have way too many types of sprayers for spraying roses with fungicide or black spot remedies. Funny thing is, I have a no-spray garden! DUH!! Seeing something with roses on it is just an open invitation for me to buy it! It's a good thing dog turds don't come wrapped in rosy wrapping paper!!

If I get something stuck in my craw, I'm not satisfied until I have it all...too many...too much...too big...too overwhelming. You get the picture! When I started doing watercolor painting again, after a long time off, I got 4 different sets of watercolor paint, 3 sets of brushes, an easel I'll never use since I usually paint flat on the table! You name it, I got it! I bought an expensive bottle of masking fluid that's since dried up. I've only used masking fluid once in my lifetime watercolor career! But I thought I needed it and at the time I probably had a plan!

This has been the case my entire life. When I was into horses, it got pretty expensive to have this saddle and that saddle...just one more horse...different sets of matching tack for the horses so we'd look good on trail rides or at horse shows.

My little mini-obsession right now is Gold Peaks tea. It comes in glass bottles and is the purest, clearest, best tasting bottled tea I've ever had! None of that sludge that comes in a bottle of Snapple Tea! UGH! I love the diet Gold Peak tea with a packet of True Lime powder in it (pure lime flavor in a packet like Splenda or Equal). We get it by the case and have 4 cases on order!

Well, I'd hate to run out!

It started when Jon was in the hospital and Andy and I spent a lot of time there, especially me. I needed something to drink and the brewed or fountain tea the cafeteria sold was less than the best. Andy found this in their cooler and bought me a bottle of it. It was love at first taste and I've been seeking it out at all our local convenient stores, every time I want tea on the run! I love the size of the bottles, the ice from our fridge's ice maker fits right into the bottle. (I have a tendency to let pop or tea sit half used, getting warm). Andy and Jon aren't too crazy about the diet type so the next few cases we're getting are just the plain tea. I can add Splenda to them along with my lime. A great, harmless little obsession. Give it a try, it's great! They have a cute website too...check it out! (And NO I don't own stock in it, altho I should!!)

Tea is nectar from the gods on the hot dog days of August! And there are NO CALORIES!! :D

Thought for the day...

Walls for the wind,
a roof for the rain
and tea beside the fire(or iced tea beside the air conditioner).
Laughter to cheer you,
those you love near you
and all that your heart might desire.

  1. Oh, Ginni, now I'm really thirsty! I'm going to look around and see if we have Gold Peak tea around here. I do know we have Red Diamond, and it tastes really good, too, but it is sweetened with sugar; I haven't seen diet yet.

Hey...I'm ready for another Life Lesson from Rosie!

  3. Mmmm... I'm going to have to look for that. The bottle doesn't look familiar, but I'll keep my eyes peeled. I've been drinking the Lipton Diet Green Tea in a bottle, and it's not bad.

Thank you for the tip Mz. Ginni. :)
