Into each life a little rain must fall

And then we hope to eventually see the sun shining thru the clouds.

This past week or so, a few of my dear friends had a falling out. It was a heart-breaking situation. I hope all can be righted and everyone involved is trying. But hurt feelings take a while to heal and even tho we can wish them better in just a short time, it doesn't always happen that way. The clouds will remain. But clouds aren't all bad. They can shade us from the harsh reality of the sun and sometimes we need that shade just as much as we need the sun.

Here's praying that all is well as soon as possible and that we can forgive and forget. That feelings heal and hearts mend. And then can get on with the joys of life. If we never get back, well it was worth it. The pain that is. Just to get to be with these friends for the short time we've been together and to get to know them so well was worth any pain we may have suffered along the way.

On a happier note, I went to the fair today to see how my entries did after the judging. I was pretty pleased. The competition was really stiff and there were so many entrants...more than the past two years I've competed, that's for sure. I work really hard at my artwork, my photography and I love to enter my stuff in county fairs. It's a fun hobby for the summer and I get a few ribbons and some monetary rewards too. Not too shabby for a county fair. But today everyone has a camera and everyone enters fairs! You wouldn't believe how good some of these backyard photogs are! They get some awesome shots!! Anyway, I was proud to find out this morning that I won 19 ribbons total, including 3 blues with my artwork and 3 blues with my photos. That's enough to keep me coming back. It's a lot of work, but it's very rewarding and I love to participate. It's worth all the blood sweat and tears.

Thought for the day...
