Blog365?? Again?? NO NO NO

I've decided to join my friend Sis at Rain Down On Me and do a blog thing that incorporates the ideas of Blog365 but isn't quite. One of my new years resolutions is to start picking up my camera more often. This will help me in that pursuit. I need to practice getting my photo thang on once again. This should be just the ticket, along with the Weekly Word Challenge at Tink's Sporkalicious blog.

Okay, anyway, here's the link to my other blog called Imagine...Pictoria I'm not sure if I'm actually committing to this, but it sure looks like a fun way to pick up my cam more and get some interesting shots! I'll put my WWC photos here on this blog and my 365 one's on Pictoria.

Here's the deal on the 365 photos. I'll take photos to match this list of words. (See below). Then I'll post them on my photo blog and I'll number each post so I can tell how many I've done. Hopefully I'll do the entire list by the end of the year. I'm assuming the people who thought this up (not sure who, you'd have to ask Sis) want followers to post one pic a day. I'm not going to do it that way. Instead, I'll post a handful when I get a chance and hopefully keep up with the month and by the end of each month have enough photos for each day of that month. I'd love it if you visited my photo blog once in a while. It will help keep me enthused!

Speaking of Sis's photos, she is a professional photographer so her photo blog would be well worth checking out...go to this link...Sis's 365 Photo Blog

  1. I like your twist on the photo-a-day theme. I remember your other photo projects and they are full of interesting things. Tell me again what lens you have? Will you experiment with other lens? I'm hoping to get the 24-70mm f/2.8 lens this year... we'll see.

  3. Oh goodie - I'm glad you're going to do this one - and I think you are really smart to do it that way. You already know you CAN do the 365 bit, so you don't have to prove anything to yourself - this way you can sit back and enjoy it.

    Love you Ginni!

  4. Ann, I'd love to have the 24-70mm f/2.8 lens!! I've always wanted one for taking close-up shots. I'm afraid I don't have anything that fancy just yet, but someday maybe! I have the stock lens that came on my Rebel: Canon EFS 18-55mm and I also have a prime lens: a Canon 50mm f/1.8 II. I got this last one on the advice of Sis from Rain Lily Photo. I love the effects I get with it! And the last but not least lens I have is my 75-300mm zoom lens that's great for stop action shots. I love them all for different reasons. I just have to play around with them all and learn more about them!

Oh Kathy, that would be great if you played too!!!

LOL Fiwa, I'm done trying to prove anything to myself that has the number 365 in it!! Thanks for visiting and commenting on my other blog.

  6. Oh! This must be what Sandi (from Whistle Stop Cafe) is doing. I've wondered about that. Who started this? I think this is a Flickr thing, isn't it. I *wish* I had a DSLR camera. My P&S is pretty limited. I'll add your photoblog to my reader.

  8. Yippee! We are gonna have so much fun!

I'll find out some links for others who are participating, just for fun - but I'm not worrying about posting a picture a day, just posting 365 pictures this year! That's the goal for me, to 'represent' a photo a day. I'm already having lots of fun with it!

As I find out links, I'll add them to the sidebar of my blog in case you're interested in checking them out...I'm so glad you're playing too!

    Love ya girl!
    XOXO
