And I'm glad! I have had one good night's sleep in two weeks and it's starting to catch up to me. I did sleep a little better last night, but it still wasn't great. Oh well, onward and upward!
I'm hoping to finish my decorating today. I have a party to go to this morning at 11am. It's our annual union Christmas party. I signed up so I probably should go, altho I was thinking of bombing out so I can get more things done around here. But it's only for a couple of hours. I also have a party to go to tomorrow. It's a very nice couple's Christmas open house and I really want to go and at least put in an appearance for a while. I need to have a dish to take today and a plate of cookies to give the hostess tomorrow.
I've decided that I'm going to make Cheryl's baked pineapple for my work Christmas party which is next week. One of the meat dishes they are providing is ham for the party and I think it would be a great side with ham! Besides, I've been anxious to try it and before I take it somewhere, I'll have to make it for us to try. There's method to my madness.
Andy and I also have to finish making the blankets we're sending to his sister and brother-in-law for Christmas. We're going to make them a couple of those fleece tied blankets for getting cozy to watch TV under! We just love ours (my sister Glo and bro-in-law Greg made them for us for Christmas a year or so ago). Andy's sis recently lost everything to the 500-year flood in Oakville, Iowa this past spring and I'm sure they will love 'em!
Well, I better go hop into the shower and get my day started. I have to run to the grocery store to get a few things for these recipes and times a'wastin' (as Grandma Colwell used to say!)
DH got me one of those Snuggies for X-mas and I can't wait to use it. That sounds like a wonderful Christmas gift you're giving to your sis and bro. I'm sure they'll really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a great day! Take some time to relax though. It will help with the sleep.
