Five days until the end of 2008.
I have a lot of reasons I'm glad this year is over.
I'm ready to start a new year! New beginnings, new outlook, new commitments.
It's all good!
One more thing...the days are getting longer! With the shortest day of the year 6 days behind us, I can just feel the sun trying to shine longer.
Happy Saturday. Today is a treat for me. I'm hardly ever off on the weekend :)
ReplyDeleteWoot! 2009 here we come!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
2008's been a difficult year for you, Ginni, but you're such an optimist, I know you'll make the best of 2009. And YAY for lengthening days!
ReplyDeleteI've come on the scene only lately, and I don't know what troubles plagued you this year, but whatever they were, I'm sorry. Remember, you're never alone in what you carry. Lots of us are willing to help. Happy New Year, Ginni.
ReplyDeleteI get really excited about the lengthening days too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so hoping 2009 will be better for you.
Kathy, it's a long sad story, but I lost my only son (in fact, my only child) this year. He was 37 years old and died of colon cancer in July. That's about as bad as it gets for a parent. My BIL Greg was diagnosed with lymphoma in April and after 6 months of chemotherapy that took quite a toll on him, he is in remission now, thank God. But it was a very scary time for him, for all of us.
ReplyDeleteThere were some good things too...my same sister who's DH had lymphoma had her first grandchild born this year. She married Greg on Halloween day...they had been engaged for a long time.
Life has been a major roller coaster in our family. That's why I'm so ready for a new year.
P.S. Thanks everyone for your wishes and good vibes. I love you guys.
ReplyDeleteI know it has been a hard year. I've been thinking about John and hoping that part of the holidays wasn't too hard on you.
