Why oh why?

We have a weird day at work today. The kids go to school for 2 hours. What's up with that?? Is it all about the money (as in state aid?) or is it some commie plot for wrecking my day? I just can't imagine what good this does the kids and isn't that what this is supposed to be all about...what's best for the kids? After all, it's the day before a holiday and kids are notoriously B-A-D on a day before a holiday. They aren't going to learn one good thing from school today...not one! They'll be entirely too rowdy to learn anything, in fact, they just might do something to get into some kind of trouble or another. So why send them at all? Why make me get up and get ready for work as usual, do my morning route as usual...then make me bust a move to get back into work in one hour to start the process all over again? I just don't understand. Maybe if an educator or school administrator read this, they will explain what I'm not getting here. Maybe they'll explain what earthly good it does for the kids, or for the teachers, or for us bus drivers.

Truly, I want to know!

When I get done early today, I'll spend the rest of the day working on my Thanksgiving dishes. I guess I can at least be thankful for a little extra time. Well, it's not really extra time, I'm working the same amount of time, but the time off is just shifted.

Enough ranting....I have to get to work.

Hab a nie day! <----(If anyone can tell me what TV show that's from...you win the "I watch too much TV award" for the day!!! tee hee)

  1. It's got to be for state money. No one involved in education would think it's a good idea.

    Is the show Fat Albert?

    Hab a gret holibay.
