Combining is going on a lot around here the past few days.
When I was coming home from work the other morning, I was stopped on the road by a wagon unloading it's harvest into a truck. It was blocking the way. I figured it was a good photo op, so I whipped out my little Canon and got a shot of it. I don't mind being held up for something like this. Especially when the equipment is John Deere green!

November Roses
I cut a couple of roses to bring into the house. If I'm recalling correctly, we were starting to get bad weather this time last year. This year, so far, we have had great weather and still have some roses that survived the couple of hard freezes we've had. This is a Sam Trivitt and a sprig of Rosarium Uetersen. Both are very hardy, nice roses.
Neat photograph. what exactly are they 'combining'?
ReplyDeleteAnd the roses! OMG they're gorgeous! Are they fragrant? Mine have stopped blooming. :( So sad....
Those are gorgeous roses - I love the shape of the top one, it looks like a paper flower. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
Love,
fiwa
That combine reminds me of harvest time back on the farm. It was fun to watch them pick the hopps - the mint being distilled in the feild was another story (pee-ew)
ReplyDeleteKathy, this was soy beans being harvested. The harvest is sure kicking up the deer!! The pink rose is fragrant, the mini has a very light fragrance. Rose fragrance seems to change as the seasons change.
ReplyDeleteBrad, I'll bet the mint smelled strong! Where did they grow mint and hopps?
ReplyDeleteFiwa, you have a great weekend too sweetie!
I should go out tomorrow and see if I have any roses to cut before we get a hard frost.
