I've been so busy lately, I haven't taken time to stop and smell the roses. The other day I was hopping out of my car, having just gotten home from my first work shift, and I noticed an Abraham Darby rose bloom just screaming at me to slow down a moment and come over and stick my nose in it to take a big sniff. It was luscious! Abe Darby has the fragrance of a sweet juicy grapefruit and it is making my mouth water even now, just remembering that lovely citrusy scent. I had to take a picture of it too. I love how it was laying over the heads of bazillions of teenie tiny rosy-looking blooms of the fall sedum.

P.S. Yes, I'm back to posting earlier than I said...I think I wanted a week off. Well, I may take more time during the week, I just found some free time and a few things to write about, so I made drafts of them and will post them as I go.
Abe is definitely swoon-worthy! I like the background of sedums you have growing nearby. I've ordered Jubilee Celebration, supposedly a more compact version of Abe. Can't wait!
