Aiyana, That bird is a Goldfinch. It's the state bird of lots of states. They are beautiful and turn a dingy olive green in the winter. But they just glow in the summer!!
Dirtsister, I'm glad my boring post helped...LOL!
Rosemary, that's exactly why I leave the volunteers! It seems that they bring more wildlife than what I plant sometimes! :)
I too love volunteers , all the more when they bring wildlife to the garden, beautiful
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! And your vitamin post was not boring, it actually inspired me to start the b's back up to kick start my brain and nervous system.
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos! What kind of bird is that? It's a perfect match for the sunflower.

Ginni, how sweet is that! I love the shots you captured.
ReplyDeleteAt 1st sight, I didn't see the the bird, I thought it was another sunflower. Very beautiful
ReplyDeleteAh! Those pictures are so cool! You make me want to grow sunflowers now.
ReplyDeleteBesautiful bird - and a good spot, Ginni.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it strange that a goldfinch in the USA is differently coloured to a goldfinch in the UK which has a red patch on its head.
