Cute, Ginni, and reveals a bit more about you.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! Ginni - Virginia - that was supposed to be my name!! Virginia Jo. That's what my mom was going to call me, but after 36 hrs. of labor (and she was 45 at the time), she was out of it so the nurse asked my brother Max what my name was and he said "Sally Marie". Heeee! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteGinni, you actually met JFK and Sonny Bono? My mouth is hanging open!
ReplyDeleteRuth, I was just a kid when I met JFK...it was while he was running for office. He made a whistle stop here in the Quad Cities and was at the air port. I was standing right next to the platform he was up on and he reached down and patted my hand. I don't remember what he said to me, darn it! I didn't realize how awesome that was until I was much older!
ReplyDeleteRe: Sonny Bono...I had gone to a concert of Sonny and Cher and we heard that Sonny was in the lobby of the Black Hawk Hotel in Davenport Iowa...right next to the concert hall. My girlfriends and I ran over there and sure enough, he was there. We talked to him a long time!! I got his autograph on the program from the concert (can't find it now...but it's probably around someplace!)
Sally, I have never known very many Virginias in my life. Altho, now I work with one! She goes by Virginia or Ginny T. and I go by Ginni D. That's actually what people call us at work so it doesn't get confusing!
Anne, that's why I like Meme's like this! We get to know one another better!
This is great. I'd love to play along, but don't have the time. Boo hoo. That said, I'm finally going to bed.
