Aren't they just the cutest little things! I promise this will be over soon...it will get to where I have eggs I don't know what to do with and then I will probably quit posting pictures of eggs! I'll be too busy trying to give them all away! Actually my work mates are looking forward to buying eggs from me, so that will help get rid of a lot of them. And it will help us buy chicken feed and bedding!
Thanks for being patient with me, while I obsess over my chickens and eggs.
We went to the fairgrounds (about 75 miles round trip) to check on my entries this morning. I won a few ribbons on my photos and my artwork. We tallied up and I probably won a little over $150 total. I know it will cost us $50 in gas just to get up there and back 3 times! Oh well, this fair has been a God-send this year. It gave me something to do to get my mind off my troubles and give me something fun to focus on.
Between that and the chickens and eggs, I'm good!
So, Ginni, are these fit to eat yet? Or are they still considered "medicated"? They're so cute!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Omelettes coming soon, eh?
ReplyDelete"medicated"? Ok, what did I miss now?
ReplyDeleteI hope you're eating them! They're so pretty - I'm jumping up and down with you.
Congratulations on your wins. :)

Just before the chickens started to lay, they were still on medicated chick feed. I switched them over, but you have to do it gradually and the first egg was laid while they were still on a little bit of the medicated feed. I will blow that one out and paint a picture on it and save it for posterity! The other 5 are okay to eat! We are going to have them for breakfast tomorrow! I'll take pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being so patient with me!!
love you guys!
