Cheese Bone
1 good white hollow bone the appropriate size for your dog
(you can get these at any pet store)
Velveeta cheese (you can also use cream cheese)
With a table knife or your finger, push the cheese into the bone until it's about half full, turn it over and fill the other end, keeping a finger over the already filled end to keep the cheese from squishing out. Fill to almost full, leaving a small depression in each end of the cheese to keep it from getting on the carpet or furniture. Wipe off any cheese that's gotten on the outside of the bone, for neatness sake. Give it to your bored or lonely dog (these are great if you are going to be away for a while and need a diversion for your dog while you're gone). The lucky pup will lick away at that cheese and will eventually get every bit out. They seem to love cheese bones. It's such a small amount of cheese, it won't compromise a dogs proper diet (not that my chubby pup is dieting...hahaha) Please try one of these for your dog...I guarantee they will love it and it's a cheap, healthy way to keep them busy for a long time. You can reuse the same bone over and over.
Rain, again!
We got another 8/10ths of an inch of rain in the garden last night. It was a pretty wild night with thunder and lightening. I love snuggling down in my covers while it flashes and bangs outside. I managed to get up at 7am, but it was still so dark out, I didn't want to get up. Andy always gets up by 6am (Old Navy habits die hard) and Rosie doesn't get up until around 9am... I'm usually somewhere in the middle.
Reality Show Junkie
My name is Ginni and I'm a Reality Show addict. I thrive on Survivor, quest for Amazing Race, can't miss The Apprentice, Big Brother, or Biggest Loser! But my worst embarrassment is that I love The Bachelor or The Bachelorette! I'm totally hooked! Last night was the finale of the latest Bachelorette and I was so happy with the choice the girl made. I don't know if any of you watch it (someone must...but will you admit it???). Anyway, it had a happy ending and I love that!
Well, I'm off to get back to my fair preparations. Hope you have a wonderful day!
Rosie is a doll, as always.
ReplyDeleteI'm not telling Smokey about that cheese bone. That would definitely be a no-no for him. (He has a strict diet.)
Never heard of this...how;s that possible??
ReplyDeleteI've got to fix this for Pebbles and Panda...aka' Love dog'...
It's so hard to get their pictures...but I'm going to try so you can see them.
Thanks for the tip. :)
Ahh. There's my girl. A sweet sight for me tired eyes! - On the mend here.
