I wasn't officially tagged but I'm claiming a tag anyway. Thanks Sis and you too Ruth in a roundabout way!
Rules: Since I seem to be making them up as I go...if you'd like to do this, go for it!
Ten years ago: After three years, I was beginning to get used to being alone and widowed after 27 years of marriage and a great life with my husband. I was planning a cruise with some dear girlfriends and was excited about the prospect of finally seeing the Caribbean. I had just gotten my bus driver's license and had been driving a big bus for about a month. I was in love with the job.
Five things on today's "to do" list: Unpack from our little weekend trip, do chicken chores, make Spanish rice for Jon and Andy...it's a special request, learn to do some new things on my iPhone, some weeding in the garden if the rain lets up.
Things I'd do if I was a billionaire: Move to the country, take care of my families every need, pick a worthy charity and make it very good for them, help friends who need it, do whatever my church needs me to do for them, invest in some safe investments and in some chancy ones, play the stock market again, pick an artist who needs a break and help promote their work.
Three bad habits: drinking too much diet Pepsi, I'm not very into housework...thank goodness, Andy is! I talk too much and don't listen enough.
Five places I've lived: Sioux City, Ia....Ames, Ia....Moline, Il....East Moline, Il....Spirit Lake, Ia....Irvington, Ia....Hampton, Il. I'm a Midwestern girl through and through. And you get 10 points if you've heard of Irvington or can find it on a map!
Five jobs I've had: Clerk in a clothes store, bartender at a speedway, freelance reporter/photog, cashier at a school cafeteria, school bus driver. Jill of all trades, mistress of none!
Good play, Ginni. I'm glad you tagged yourself.
ReplyDeleteI love this!
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks like I've missed some news over at the forum, doesn't it? Good news, it seems!
I'll be over there soon to check it out!
XOXOXOXOXO
Well, I'm glad you took on the tag! I give up on finding Irvington ;-) Ooh, Spanish rice sounds lovely about now.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of memes, but I really like your answers to this one. How did you like the cruise? What in the world made you decide to become a bus driver?
