Tuesday WWC, etc.

Today is Tuesday so that means it's WWC day again. The words took a turn this week and aren't shapes or substances, but more like concepts. Today they are FOREIGN and DOMESTIC. In the words of the very DOMESTIC Arte Johnson ...

playing a part as the FOREIGN German guy on Laugh-In....

" Verrrrry interestink, Tink!" <--that's where you go to get the words and the rules if you wanna play too. I would be remiss if I didn't post a photo of a piece of my FOREIGN collection of French faience (a snooty word for fine vintage pottery with a colorful glaze...I love snooty words, they keep from having to type out the entire phrase I just had to type out to define what the hell faience is!)

So here are my FOREIGN and DOMESTIC shots...

My favorite FOREIGN French piece of faience...

FOREIGN money... probably about $3 worth!

DOMESTIC money...probably about .03¢ worth

FOREIGN fruit...

A DOMESTIC statue made right here in the Iowa-Illinois area...

Speaking of Illinois, has anyone seen that corn flake that's supposed to look like the state of Illinois. Some genius is selling it on eBay...some idiot has bid $200,500 last time I looked. Go here... Idiots on parade ...and type in "Illinois corn flake" and do a search...there are a bunch of people getting on the bandwagon to sell corn flakes and stuff regarding corn flakes. It's a hoot!!!

Well I have to go. I need to go buy a box of cornflakes!

  1. Why does foreign money look so much cooler than ours? If I'm not mistaken, some of the newer bills I got in Mexico last month were actually made of plastic instead of paper. They sure felt like it.

  2. I love your French piece of faience, very pretty.
Money, why didn't I think of that? It almost looks fake with all those pretty colors. Boring old green American money.

  4. Ok, I snorted at the "about .03¢ worth". Soon we're going to be using it as toilet paper. I love the item in the first picture. Beautiful!

  7. I love the "money shots"...and the picture of Arte Johnson was inspired. Hey, I'm from Illinois, but I never knew we had a cornflake shaped after us ; ) Now THAT'S a midwestern legacy if ever I heard of one! Now, we need ones shaped like Kansas and Nebraska...
