Last Rose of the Season

I walked around the yard and found one rose that’s still got a bloom. There are a few with buds, but I doubt that they’ll end up being blooming roses. I love this rose; it’s called Love and Peace. It’s a child of the famous Peace rose. I’ve had this rose for about 6 years. In fact it was one of my very first roses. That was before I knew a darned thing about roses …the only thing I knew for sure back then was that I loved them.

I guess love is all it takes for some roses…they just keep on growing and blooming, regardless of the ignorance of their human moms!

Here’s a photo of this precious last bloom. It’s the one I’ll remember best until spring when the roses are in bloom once again.

Thought for the day…

"God gave us our memories so that we might have roses in December."

  1. That is so pretty! I love Peace. If I had space I would make room for L&P.

The only thing I have that's still blooming is nasturiums (which will get gooey in the next day or two when it freezes), knockout and honey bouquet. God bless lil knockout, it really blooms it's everlovin heart out.
