I take him to all his appointments because with the heavy duty narc drugs he's on for pain, he can't drive! Ever since he had the CAT scan Friday ...whenever I thought about the results all weekend, I got a little shock of panic. I think waiting for test results is one of the hardest parts of this for all of us. It's such a joy and relief to get good news. Jon is scheduled for a chemo treatment this coming Monday...a week from today. He will get all the old drugs but will also get a new drug that kills off the blood supply to the tumors and makes survivability more likely. It's expensive and has to be cleared by the insurance co. so it depends on what they say as to whether it will happen or not. I hope it does! I like the idea of my son surviving a long long time!!
Oh and I want to say a little 'thank you' prayer....Thanks God...I know we're safely in your hands and you are in control. Amen.
And another prayer and good vibes for my dear friend Jamie who's waiting for some tests from the doctor...I'm praying that she gets good news!
Thought for the day...
My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my Rock and my Salvation;
He is my Fortress, I will never be shaken.
Psalm 62 vs.1-2
That's news to warm a Mom's heart - congratulations, Ginni and Jon! My heart is warmed for you, too...
