Anyway, after doing a few minutes of dead-heading, smushing a couple of Japanese beetles, and picking a couple of roses (I picked cuz I had no pruners...ouch!) I had to come in to make some phone calls. It's amazing what those 10 minutes did for my mental state. I just sort of felt calm and peaceful.
I was a bit sad that there were so many dead-heads and that means I missed a lot of roses. But they'll be back! I hope to go out there everyday from now on.
I wonder if I'll have any roses for the rose exhibits at the fairs? Oh well, if not that's okay. I'm just happy to have roses at all!
Oh, by the way, this isn't a good photo, but it looks great to me, just because it's a couple of real live blooms that I brought in with me. I was intent on getting a couple blooms, and even tho they have very short stems, they are so beautiful to me!! I just want to look at them and take in the colors.

I've had a crazy-from-hell day and I'm tired, so this will be short and sweet tonight. Hope all your dreams come true and all your roses are in bloom!
Thought for the day:
The ever-beautiful flowers she had planted with her own hands became nothing more than the lost roses of her cheeks.

It is amazing what a little time in the garden can do for your spirit, isn't it? And I love your blooms, I think they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHope you find some "me" time this weekend.
