Popping in...

...to say Hi! (Sorry Sis, I've missed you guys too!)

I've been so busy the past few days! I had all intentions of checking in here while I was being a lady of leisure this week (Spring break). But with all I had to do, the time is ticking away and I've not been very good at getting here, or to all of your blogs yet.

My Spring break started this past Friday when school was out.

Since I've been off work I have managed to:

1.) Get my taxes done. I always use the online thing and do them myself. It was rather complicated this year with all the stuff of my son's I had to deal with, but I got it done and was pleasantly surprised that I'm getting a refund from both state and federal!! What a relief!

2.) Do some yard/garden work and get some supplies for doing more work when the weather permits. It has rained a lot since I've been off, but we did manage to get all the rose beds raked inside our privacy fence. We still have a lot of beds to rake, but it's a good start. We also picked up some Roundup and Preen and then 10 bags of mulch...a drop in the bucket, as far as the mulch goes, but again, it's a start. Now if it would quit raining and/or warm up so we can get back out there, it would be great.

3.) Start a new art class...that doesn't sound like it would take a lot of time but I also had to go all over the area to find all the supplies she wants us to have. It's a colored pencil class and I am so looking forward to it. I signed up for both colored pencil classes they're offering and they're back to back, so I'll be at this until sometime in May. It will give me a good background and a place to start over. I have successfully shown some of my colored pencil drawings in the past, but have learned so much just in the first class session, I'm sure it will improve my endeavors.

4.) Got my school bus driver's physical out of the way. I passed with flying colors which is a big huge gigantic relief!! I always worry about my blood pressure...I get "white coat syndrome" really bad and they limit what your BP can be in order for you to remain a driver. They won't take your word for it, "...that it was only 123/65 at home, HONEST!!!"

Anyway, I hope you're all doing great. I'm going to get to relax in the next few days. I hope! I've had to get up early every morning, so far, since I've been off! Story of my life!

Tomorrow I have nothing going on in the morning...but just watch, I'll be up at 4am anyway!!

  3. Enjoy your much deserved break - and don't feel guilty about not blogging or reading. You just do what you need to do to recharge.

I have white coat syndrome too! Just try not to focus on it. I'm so glad you passed the physical though - that is a relief, isn't it?

    Enjoy your art class.
    Love you!
