I wanted to update the chicken story. I wish I could tell you I could keep them after all, but no such luck. I did find a good home for them tho. A guy who has a farm not too far from us...in fact, it's a place that has a pumpkin patch in the fall that kids can go pick a pumpkin and see the animals. Anyway, I used to buy hay from this guy when I had horses. His son has a few chickens he plans to show at the fairs this year. He is going to take them and maybe they will even be shown. I'm so glad, they will have a good home and I may even get to buy some eggs from him! I would be thrilled!! Anyway, I'm so relieved and this makes it so much easier to deal with. Actually we're not too upset since it will free us up so we can travel all we want this summer!
I'll be taking them to the farm this coming weekend.
Great, great news! It was an adventure, and now you'll have time for a new one :))
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy the girls found a home. Now you can travel all over creation this summer and take pics and put them up for me to enjoy. See... It's all about me. HA! xoxox ac
ReplyDeleteWell, Gin.....this is good news. The chickens will be content and you will not be tied down so perhaps it is the next phase for both of you.
ReplyDeleteIt would be sweet if you could still get their eggs.
At least you have your dear pup to pamper!
Yeah Rosie!
xoxoxoxoxo
I'm glad you found them a home. Sorry you can't keep them, but I totally understand having the freedom to pick up and go when you want.
ReplyDeleteYea!!! I was worried about them... and you, too.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about this today. I'm glad you found a place to take them.
ReplyDeleteBut, but...I was going to start an uprising!
ReplyDeleteFine.
I'll tell the villagers to put down there torches and pitchforks.
I guess I should cancel the dragon to.
Dang it.
Thanks guys! Brad, you crack me up!!! I'm good with this. Que sera, sera! Deep down, I knew it was only a matter of time anyway. Life's too short to stew over chickens! ;)
ReplyDeleteWell that's a little ray of sunshine at least!
ReplyDeleteAww... I'm sorry someone was a doody-head and complained. But I am glad you found a home for them, and like you said, now you're free to travel and not worry about them.
