Another post just in case of a power outage

I really need to charge our cell phones, our little portable DVD player and anything else we can think of that may need to be charged. I'm post-dating this so it goes off on Saturday. I'm not sure if I'll need it, but if I do, I won't mess up my Blog365 at this late date!

I'll be back!

I'm tired of the weather, so I'm not going to talk about it anymore! I'm hoping to spend some time this weekend wrapping up my Christmas preparations. Well, I won't get all the cooking done yet, some of that will wait until Christmas eve day or maybe the day before that. But I will get all the groceries stocked in and any last minute cards, presents and decorations done. I have to make, wrap, send, write, bake, plan, and a few other things. But I think I'm pretty well on schedule. I love having a few days off before Christmas to do all of this last minute stuff. And then I love having a few days off after Christmas to recuperate! I don't have to be back to work until Jan 5th. By then, I'll be glad to be going back.

It's so nice to have time off like this. I love my job but it's pretty stressful and drivers need a few days now and then. I think just knowing those days are coming add to the stress level...or it seems to. Or maybe it's just anticipation!

  1. Glad you have a few days off Ginni. Did you *see* the weather for this weekend?! Ack! I haven't even thought about Christmas dinner (other than buying the ham). I really need to decide and go grocery shopping - today! I think that I just procrastinate hoping the whole thing will just go away. *sigh*

  2. We are preparing for nasty weather too. We brought all the hurrican lamps out and bought firewood and candles and plenty of canned food. I hope we do not lose power -but we're ready for it this time. Don't forget to turn your heat up really good so that your house starts off nice and warm if it does go out.

    Take care of you -
    love,

  3. I'm so sick of the weather too. I worked hard all day, looking forward to church tomorrow, . . . and we're supposed to have blizzards conditions. Grrr.

  4. As someone who lived without power for a while after a hurricane, I can tell you that electricity is highly Under rated... Electricity=good!

I think living in the heat had to have been easier than living through a blizzard with no power!
