It rained all night and have you ever seen a daylily bloom that got rained on? It looks like wet tissue paper! I took a dozen or so to enter anyway. Only time will tell if soggy tissues get attention from the judge. I doubt it!
I also took a few roses (I brought them in last night, not because of the rain, but the Japanese beetles would have had them all eaten by this morning). They weren't perfect like the rose-lady's roses always are, but I took them anyway. I also took some herbs and lilies. And I took a few annuals too. I think I had 31-32 entries all together. Most of those were soggy too. This was a practice day. Haha
That's all for now, I'm off to see how we did. Then have to visit Jon and then be back to the fair grounds at 5:30pm to pick all the flowers, photos and art up. The pieces get released then.
