Wow, I'm late today...I usually try to blog earlier!

I've had a bit of a busy day. I have been going to work earlier because of our parking situation. They are renovating the street beside where I work and to get a parking place inside the fence, I have to leave earlier. Otherwise I have to park in the parking lot beside ours. I work in a rather unsavory neighborhood. So I didn't have time to post this morning.

It was windy all night and little Rosie kept barking. She could hear a high tree branch hitting the roof and she was sure there was some cat burgler trying to break in all night. She woke us quite a few times with her shrill little-dog bark! Andy got up twice to see what all her commotion was about, I finally figured out what she was barking at when I went out to go to work this morning. It was really tough to get up to the alarm tho, due to her "vigil". Gotta love her tho, she thinks she's protecting our house!

It's rained softly and gently all day today. We have 8/10ths in our rain gauge and that makes me happy. I won't have to water all weekend! I'm so glad!! The gardens are loving it. It was unseasonably cold today tho. I don't think it ever got above 55°. I wore a big ol' warm hoodie to work, and it's almost June! I wonder what kind of summer we're going to have!

Well, it's memorial day weekend. We have a few plans and I'll tell you about them when the weekend is over! That way I'll have pictures and all that. We're not going away for long (we'll be home everyday) or very far, but it should be good for a few photos!

Well, my cake almost done so I have to go take it out to cool so I can frost it. We have dad today so I'm on my way after supper to go see him, fill his pill box for him, take him a couple pieces of freshly baked German chocolate cake and take the dog for a visit. Dad just loves Rosie!

  1. We're having German Chocolate Cake? Yum! I'll be right over. That was always my birthday cake, growing up.

It will be interesting to see how this summer shapes up - it has been a strange winter.

Enjoy your holiday weekend and watch out for the crazy drivers!
