Lists Of The Day
This is one of the funniest blogs posts I’ve seen in a long time and I just had to share it with you. I ran across it on “Stumble Upon” in the wee hours last night. When I’m can't sleep and am having one of my gottadosomethingelsebesideslayhereandworryaboutalltheshit
Ihavetodotomorrow kinda moment…I get up and “stumble”.
Did you ever try to keep from laughing so as not to disturb someone else’s peaceful sleep in the middle of the night? It’s sort of like trying to not laugh at a funeral or in church. You start to shake, then your eyes start to water (which is okay if you’re at a funeral) and then you start to snort. It’s sort of a deep throaty snort because you’re trying so hard to keep it in. When I read this blog at 3am yesterday, I couldn’t help but laugh. But I tried. I explained to Andy later that day, that this was just so funny because I remember the 70’s so well, the hairstyles and clothes... this just blew me away. I had to laugh out loud. Of course, maybe it was just that I was giddy at having missed some of my sleeptime. Check it out and see which is the case… if nothing else it should make you smile if you were there in the 70’s.
And what is it about people who write for a living? I guess if you write for a living, you either have major writing talent (sorta goes without saying), an agenda that can’t help but be humorous, or a bitterness (and I mean this will love and affection) that’s just too entertaining. I seem to gravitate to these types of people and their blogs. They are just damned good!
I saw that post a few weeks ago and it also had me rolling! I read about it on The Pioneer Woman's blog, because the last picture is of her!
ReplyDeleteWhy couldn't I have met you BEFORE I smelled Hoop's hand?! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the shout-out and the link, Ginni Dee... and of course, your kind words on my blog. You made my day! =)

Oh my... let me dry my eyes so I can see the keyboard. That was heelarious, thanks for the link Ginni. ;)
ReplyDeleteI can see you snorting, trying to hold in the laughter.
Oh, by the way... a meme, and don't ask me where that term came from, the only thing I can figure is it's about "ME, ME!!" is a post that's kinda like a chain letter. Remember that one we did back during NaBloPoMo where you had to go find random people to tag? That is a meme. The common one is the 100 things meme, where you list 100 facts about yourself. You gonna do the letter one? Give it a shot, you might be surprised what comes out when you start thinking about it.
lovins,
fiwa
why ya gots comment moderation enabled, did you get some nasty comments?
ReplyDeleteFiwa, no, I could live with nasty comments, it's the bot comments I am trying to get rid of...dunno why I keep getting those. ACK! Anyway, I had tears rolling too. Funny stuff.
ReplyDeleteCheryl...isn't he funny!
Tink, good to see ya.
