Rose hips, encased in ice...

Ice on a stick...

Blue winter sky and an icy maple tree...

The break of dawn over a lovely winter scene...

More winter beauty...

This is what a bouquet of roses looks like in the Midwest, this time of year...

I hope you enjoyed looking at my photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. It was such a gorgeous day, sunny and crisp. Ideal for snapping some shots.
Thought for the day...
"Well, why don't they call it The Big Chill? Or The Nippy Era? I'm just sayin', how do we know it's an Ice Age? Because of all the ice!"
Ice Age, the movie
Those were beautiful Ginni. I love looking at snowy, icy pictures, as long as it's yours and not mine. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you didn't have to drive in it. Cuddle up with Rosie and stay warm!

Wow.
ReplyDeleteGinni, the roses encased in ice almost looks like they were purposely preserved. And the ice on the branches? Gorgeous. I'm glad you didn't have to drive in that ice either! Got your hot chocolate ready?
Oh yeah, I have been lovin' my hot chocolate quite a bit these days!! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you guys enjoyed the photos!
Ginni - I am in awe.

Thanks for visiting my blog Ginni and your photo does look like mine! I love your little Rosie also, what a cutie. From your photos you do a great job with your roses, beautiful. Your photos of the frost on trees are beautiful, I was sitting at my desk working but wishing I was outside taking pics :(. Two days this past week were absolutely stunning for picture taking and I missed both.
